Nutrition is about so much more than weight loss and training, it's about nourishing every cell in our bodies, for wonderful health and to reduce our risk of disease. Nutrition can seem really confusing, but there are some clear guidelines universally agreed on which should precede any diet: eat lots of whole plant foods, reduce your intake of animal and processed foods. We are yet to determine the healthiest diet, the Blue Zones nicely demonstrate that there is a range of healthy which include intakes of between 90-100% plant-based, with or without some meat, fish and dairy. We don't need to follow this, but it's good to have a clear understanding of nutrition and a possible aim if we wish to improve our diet.

Using the above as a basis, I made this easy test to see how healthy our diet is, focusing on our intake of whole plant foods. Remember it is never all or nothing, this is just to see where we are at.
