"Healthy meals were the last things we thought about whilst in the Philippines volunteering after Typhoon Yolanda, but Jill made an incredible effort to share nutritional advice and assist with food preparation through our time there to ensure it suited our environment (ease of getting different types of food in this conditions) and our activities and daily life which weren’t always the easy to handle. This impacted over 100 volunteers at our volunteer base and by ensuring we get the nutritious (as much as can be possible in the Philippines) meals necessary, meant we were all in a better position and more energy to help those in need when we weren’t putting ourselves first.
